Fidelity Broadcasting is selling its three stations in the Myrtle Beach, SC market to the newly formed Compass Radio Group.
Compass, headed by Bob Woodward and John Trent, will acquire Rhythmic AC “Movin 94.5” WYEZ Murrells Inlet and Soft AC “Easy 105.9/100.7” WEVZ North Myrtle Beach/WGTN-FM Andrews for $1.6 million. The buyers began operating the three stations via LMA on December 1.
Woodward is a partner in Spectrum Radio Group which owns four stations in the Morgantown, WV market, while broadcast lawyer Trent is owner of 1480 WQTM Fair Bluff, NC.
