Ann Jones’ Peach Holdings is making a pair of acquisitions as it purchases Great South Wireless’ Classic Hits 97.7 WHPH Jemison, AL for $1.6 million and 99.1 W256CD Fultondale/Birmingham from Shelby Broadcast Associates for $300,000.
Mary Guthrie is selling the CP for 96.7 K244EX Las Vegas to Windy City Broadcasting for $25,000. Guthrie will file an application to modify the currently licensed 4.5 watt signal within the next 30 days.
Christopher Falletti sells his CP for 98.5 in Battle Mountain, NV to Fred Weinberg and Floyd Brown’s Nevada Radio LLC for $11,100. The Class C2 signal will serve the area west of Elko.
Vic Michael’s Mountain Community Translators purchases 106.7 K294CH Divide/Colorado Springs from Timothy Cutforth for $10,000. Michael’s Kona Coast Radio is in the process of acquiring originating station 1530 KCMN Colorado Springs.
A Wisconsin Judge has reversed his order placing Quicksilver Broadcasting’s Classic Country 730 WJMT Merril/99.1 W256AG Wausau and 104.1 WMZK Merril, WI into receivership operated by John Wirth. The move also rescinds the LMA and pending sale to Radio One Communications. Quicksilver flipped WMZK back to Classic Rock “Z104” earlier this month.
Beech Tree Broadcasting, owners of Classic Hits “Q101.5” 1570 WLBQ/101.5 W268CE Morgantown, KY is giving 25% ownership stakes each to Brenda Longhofer and Connie Renfrow for forgiveness of loans issued to existing owners Diane Dyer and John Embry. Each individual will own a quarter of the company.
Gerald Proctor sells 105.5 K288FY Livingston, TX to Lake Livingston Radio for $17,500. K288FY will rebroadcast 96.1 KDOL-LP Livingston.
I wonder if The Peach will flip the format, once the sale goes through and the new owner takes it over?
