WSJZ Becomes 95.9 Rock With Bubba The Love Sponge

95 Rock 95.5 The Fan Sports Radio Bubba Love Sponge WSJZ MelbourneCumulus Media today flipped Sports “95.9 The Fan” WSJZ Sebastian/Melbourne, FL to Active Rock “95 Rock“.

The 6pm flip brings a locally targeted competitor to iHeartMedia’s 101.1 WJRR Cocoa Beach/Orlando. Cumulus is on the hunt for a local PD/Afternoon Host for WSJZ, who will join a lineup featuring Bubba The Love Sponge in mornings, Marci Wiser in middays, Pyke at nights, and Loveline.

1560 WLZR Melbourne, which had been simulcasting with WSJZ, will retain the Sports format..

Cumulus Media, Inc. announces that WSJZ-FM Melbourne turned up the volume today at 6:00pm Eastern as the former Sports station signed on as the all-new 95 Rock, Brevard’s Rock Station. WSJZ-FM and sister station WINT-AM were previously programmed as a Sports combo. WINT-AM will continue programming as Sports Radio AM 1560 The Fan, the Space Coast’s ESPN Radio affiliate. The new on-air lineup for 95 Rock will feature: Mornings with Bubba the Love Sponge, followed by Marci Wiser in Middays, [email protected], and Loveline for Late Night.

95 Rock also begins its search for a new Program Director/Afternoon Drive host. All interested candidates are encouraged to apply at [email protected] (EEO)

    Is 95.9FM closer to 96? That radio station should be called 96 Rock.
