Mount Wilson FM Acquires KIDD Monterey

ESPN 630 Central Coast KIDD Buckley Mount Wilson FM Saul LevineAt the end of 2014, Buckley Radio turned offESPN 630” KIDD Monterey, CA with the station’s towers subsequently knocked down.

KIDD will receive a new lease on life as Buckley has sold the license for the station to Mount Wilson FM Broadcasters for $50,000 completing the exit of Buckley from station ownership. Mount Wilson will be need to file for a new transmission facility for KIDD before bringing it back on-air, which both groups will work together to get an STA filed within the next thirty days.

The $50,000 purchase price includes a two year non-compete against the Buckley principles. KIDD will join a Mount Wilson cluster that includes Classical “K-Mozart” 95.1 K236BK/95.9 KMZT-FM, “Z Country 97.9/106.7” KYZZ/K294CA, Classic Hits “Q103.9 The Hits” KBOQ, and Standards “Unforgettable 1240” KNRY.
