KNBQ Signs-On As North Pole Radio

North Pole Radio 98.5 KNBQ Central Park Aberdeen Josh Broadcasting has signed-on 98.5 KNBQ Central Park, WA with Christmas Music as “North Pole Radio“.

The new Class C3 signal, operating with 1.2KW at 421 meters (Coverage Map), debuted over this past weekend. Josh Broadcasting is a 50/50 partnership of Sunnylands Broadcasting and Aberdeen based Jodesha Broadcasting created to operate the since sold 93.7 KLSY Montesano and the now-constructed KNBQ.

The KNBQ call letters have a long history in the southern Puget Sound region from their use on 97.3 Tacoma in the 1980s and iHeartMedia’s 102.9 Centralia from 2005 until 2013. No word yet on the eventual format plans for the new 98.5 KNBQ.
