Alpha Media is converting its LMA of Miller Communication’s 93.9 WSCZ Winnsboro, SC to a purchase for $900,000. Alpha began operating WSCZ via LMA in September 2014 to simulcast Urban “Hot 103.9” WHXT Orangeburg in the northern portions of the Columbia market.
Spanish Broadcasting Systems is swapping some of its Puerto Rican holdings for television assets. Spanish AC “Estereo Tempo” 99.9 WIOA San Juan/105.1 WIOC Ponce and Salsa “La Zeta” 92.1 WZET Hormigueros/Ponce will go to International Broadcasting Corporations for WTCV-DT 32 San Juan, WVEO-DT 17 Aguadilla, and WVOZ-DT 47 Ponce. Both companies began operating their new acquisitions last September when they entered into an Option Agreement for this deal.
The purchase of 90.5 KWWC Columbia, MO by the University of Missouri from Stephens College was publicly announced in October 2014. The deal has finally been filed with the FCC with Missouri paying $50,000 and giving an additional $50,000 in underwriting to Stephens.
As part of Raycom Media’s $160 million purchase of Drewry Communications, the television consolidator is returning to radio ownership by adding Spanish Adult Hits “102.9 Mundo-FM” KEYU-FM Amarillo and Regional Mexican “La Ley 104.7” KTXC-FM Lamesa/Odessa, TX. Raycom exited radio in 2000 when it sold 790 WMC/99.7 WMC-FM Memphis, TN to CBS.
B&G Broadcasting sells AC “K-Lite 94.7” WKLW-FM Paintsville, KY to S.I.P. Broadcasting for $700,000. S.I.P. is wholly owned by Terry Forcht’s Key Broadcasting.
Todd Bartley is merging his two radio ownership groups as Colonial Radio Group of Williamsport acquires Sports 1600 WEJS Jersey Shore and Standards/Sports 1400 WWGE Loretta, PA from Pioneer Sports Productions for no consideration. Colonial operates Sports “ESPN Williamsport” 1050 WLYC/104.1 W281AR Williamsport.
Southeastern Oklahoma Radio is selling the CP for 94.3 Hartshorne, OK to John Jason Bennett’s Screen Door Broadcasting for $25,000.

Riviera Broadcasting is acquiring 101.9 K270BZ Phoenix from Mary Guthrie for $175,000. As part of the deal, K270BZ has applied to relocate to the South Mountain tower farm where it will rebroadcast Riviera’s 103.9 KEXX Gilbert (Coverage Map). Our expectation is Riviera will utilize an HD subchannel to bring the programming of Rhythmic CHR “Power 98.3” KKFR Meyer to the southeastern portions of the Phoenix market.
Univision sells 103.1 W276AV Stamford, CT to Dennis Jackson for $75,000. The 3 watt W276AV rebroadcasts Spanish CHR “X96.3” WXNY New York.
Educational Media Foundation acquires the CP for 92.1 K221GC Austin, TX from Lisa Lopez for $26,000. EMF owns 91.9 KLLR Dripping Springs, 92.1 KYLR Hutto/Round Rock, and 92.5 KVLR Sunset Valley/Austin so it will have the ability to optimize the K221GC signal since it owns the closest signal on three closeby frequencies. K221GC will rebroadcast 92.5 KVLR.
EMF also purchases 107.1 W296CD Jonestown, PA from Mountain Community Translators for $10. W296CD will rebroadcast EMF’s 88.3 WLKA Tafton/Scranton.
Results Broadcasting of Iron Mountain purchases 95.3 W237ED Iron Mountain, MI from David Stout for $19,000. W237ED will rebroadcast Results’ 106.7 WHTO Iron Mountain.
Southern Oregon University sells 91.1 K216FE Crescent City, CA to Ondas de Vida Network for $10,000.
Family Life Ministries acquires 100.7 W264AT Warren, PA from Calvary Chapel of Russell for $20,000 and assistance in building the seller’s CP for 88.5 WYVL Youngsville.
Pretty sure WIOA 99.9 has been running a bilingual CHR format as “Fresh FM” since the TV operators took it over from SBS in an LMA. “Estereotempo” was moved to 96.5 at the same time.
