Just north of Chicago, Cornerstone Community Radio is selling the CP for 92.1 W221DD Waukegan, IL to Frank Glass McCoy for $5000. McCoy is the Chief Engineer for Salem Media’s Chicago stations but it is unknown if they are involved in the purchase.
Cornerstone also sells the CP for 101.5 W268CF West Palm Beach, FL to Educational Media Foundation for $25,000. EMF will rebroadcast its pending acquisition 90.7 WFLV West Palm Beach on the translator and will file a modification application before closing. With EMF adding a third signal in West Palm Beach, does this increase the chances for an NPR News/Talk station to remain in the market?
Stewards of Sound, Inc. purchases the CP for 103.1 W276CP Bloomer, WI from Edgewater Broadcasting for $22,000. W276CP will rebroadcast Steward’s Conservative Talk 680 WOGO Hallie.
Station Sales
The Isadore Morton Gudelsky Trust, Thomas Mulitz, and Shelley Mulitz are selling MTS Broadcasting to Troy Hill, Beverly Jones, and Shane Walker for $460,000. MTS owns four stations on the Eastern Shore of Maryland: Standards 1240 WCEM Cambridge, Country “100.9% Pure Country” WAAI Hurlock, Hot AC “106.3 The Heat” WCEM-FM Cambridge, and Classic Hits “107.1 The Duck” WTDK Federalsburg. Hill will own 70% of the stations, while Jones and Walker take 15% stakes each.
Robert Elliott’s Villecom is purchasing Cherry Creek Radio’s four station cluster in Stephenville, TX for $1.1 million. Villecom will acquire Regional Mexican “Fiesta 1510” KSTV Stephenville, News/Talk 1550 KCOM Comanche, Country “The Mighty 93” 93.1 KSTV-FM Dublin, and Classic Rock “94.3 The Ox” KYOX Comanche.
The Estate of James True transfers WEMB Inc.’s Classic Country/Bluegrass 1420 WEMB Erwin, TN and Rhythmic CHR “Jamz 92.3/103.9” 103.9 WXIS Erwin/92.3 W222AG Johnson City to his three children. James True III, Kevin True, and Maria True will each take a 33.3% stake in the company.
Westburg Broadcasting Montgomery buys Gospel 1050 WBNM Alexander City, AL from Pat Jarrell for $30,000 and its translator 99.3 W257DL Alexander City from Alabama Christian Radio for $90,000.
Linda de Romanett’s Family First transfers 890 WBAJ Blythewood/Columbia, SC and 870 WTCG Mount Holly/Charlotte, NC to her Bible Clarity for no consideration.
Higher Calling Communications sells Silent 105.1 KTUG Hudson, WY to Larry and Susan Patrick’s Spindletop, LLC for the lesser of the amount owed by the seller to Wind River Development Fund or $110,000. The Patricks are the Co-Managing Members of Legend Communications of Wyoming and Drumcree LLC.
Lake Area Educational Broadcasting Foundation acquires 91.9 KNLQ Cuba, MO from New Life Evangelistic Center for $63,000. The buyer operates the Christian AC “Spirit FM” network based at 91.7 KCVO-FM Camdenton, MO.
The KBOO Foundation sells 90.5 KBLU-FM Pilot Rock, OR to Blue Mountain Community Radio for $1.

Evangel Heights Assembly of God has taken Christian Preaching 910 WAVL Apollo/Pittsburgh, PA dark and has hired broker Ray Rosenblum to sell it following the retirement of its station manager. WAVL is licensed to operate with 5kW day and 70 watts nights.
