Kelly Ford is moving from middays at Cumulus Country “94.7 Nash-FM” WNSH Newark NJ/New York to join the syndicated America’s Morning Show based at Cumulus’ Nash Campus in Nashville.
Ford will join Blair Garner, Chuck Wicks and Robin Meade in the next incarnation of the show apparently replacing performing artist Terri Clark, who is not mentioned in the release. Ford joined WNSH soon after its launch in January 2013 after spending 20 years at 98.5 KYGO Denver including time in mornings.
Cumulus Media and NASH’s America’s Morning Show announce that NASH FM 94.7/WNSH-FM New York City midday personality Kelly Ford will join Blair Garner as Co-Host of America’s Morning Show and will work alongside Chuck Wicks and Robin Meade.
Mike McVay, Senior Vice President, Content and Programming for Cumulus Media and Westwood One said: “Kelly is the consummate professional and she is very much identified with the NASH brand. She was the first voice on WNSH/New York City. Her move from middays to mornings is logical, given her long and very successful history as a morning talent in markets such as Denver. She’s been a regular co-host fill-in on America’s Morning Show with Blair Garner. We’re lucky to have a strong bench at Cumulus that allows us to make this move.”
Ford said: “I am beyond thrilled to co-host America’s Morning Show with my friends Blair Garner and Chuck Wicks and to continue to be part of the NASH brand I love so much. My whole Country radio career has lead up to this fabulous opportunity to wake up loyal and passionate Country fans across the United States. Big thanks to Mike McVay, Maire Mason, Chad Lopez and John Foxx for believing in me and in the continued growth of NASH in Nashville, New York and beyond.”
Garner said: “Kelly is one of the most engaging personalities in radio today. Her talent for relating to today’s Country listener is unparalleled. Real. Funny. Unpredictable. Dedicated. Coupling Kelly’s qualities with the wit and humor of Chuck Wicks will make for an incredible team. We can’t wait to get her in the studio!”
