GenXRadio GenX WLGX Louie 100.5 WLUE Louisville

Update 9/3/09: WLUE became “Gen X Radio 100.5” at 5:00pm under new WLGX Calls. Format is descibed by Clear Channel as “Music from the 80s and 90s with hits from Grunge, Hip Hop, Hair Bands, Boy Bands and more”. The first hour of “Gen X Radio” consisted of:

2 Unlimited – Get Ready For This
Nirvana – Smells Like Teen Spirit
Montell Jordan – This Is How We Do It
No Doubt – Just A Girl
EMF – Unbelievable
Omc – How Bizarre
Blink-182 – All The Small Things
Cathy Dennis – C’mon And Get My Love
Sublime – Santeria
Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch – Good Vibrations
Dave Matthews Band – Ants Marching
Culture Beat – Mr. Vain
Spin Doctors – Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong
Jennifer Lopez – If You Had My Love
Lit – My Own Worst Enemy
Aerosmith – Dude (Looks Like A Lady)

Original Entry 9/1/09: Clear Channel looks to be on the verge of flipping Variety Hits “Louie 100.5” WLUE Louisville, KY to something called “Gen X Radio”. We’re going to assume that the format will be Classic Alternative, but could also be an 80’s/90’s based Hot AC. In addition to the logo to the right appearing on the Clear Channel server today, the following domains were registered last week: GenXFM.com, GenXLou.com, GenXLouisville.com, and MyGenXRadio.com.
