Update 3/17: A tweet from Bryan Truta, PD of sister “105.1 Jack-FM” KCJK hints that 103.7 will debut its new format on Thursday, 3/18 at 10:30am.

Original Post 3/15/10: Cumulus Broadcasting has launched a new station in Kansas City pairing 101.1 KCFX-HD2 with translator 103.7 K279BI. The station is currently stunting with Irish Music as “103.7 The Leprechaun“, promising to open its pot of gold on Wednesday, March 17 aka. St. Patrick’s Day.

All signs point to a Dam launching, as the following domains were registered by Cumulus last week: 1037thedam.com, 1037thedamn.com, Dam1037.com, Damn1037.com, TheDam1037.com, TheDamn1037.com, DamNation1037.com, and DamnNation1037.com. All currently redirect to Cumulus.com.

Cumulus acquired then K225AW from Horizon Christian Fellowship last
August for $31,500. The translator has since been upgraded from 99 watts at 1007 feet above sea level on 92.9 in Independence, MO to 250 watts @ 2037 feet at 103.7 licensed to Kansas City.
