Update 3/31: The divorce has been finalized in Norfolk. Clear Channel has broken apart the simulcast of Urban AC “Kiss-FM” on 92.1 WKSA and 107.7 WKUS. Travis Dylan, Operations Manager of Clear Channel’s Norfolk cluster will program the station.
Clear Channel has applied for the WMOV-FM call letters for use on 107.7.

Original Report 3/30: Clear Channel is preparing to break up its Urban AC “Kiss-FM” simulcast of 92.1 WKSA Moyock, NC and 107.7 WKUS Norfolk, VA.
Registrations were made by Clear Channel’s registrar on Monday for Movin1077FM.com and MyMovin1077.com. These domains pair well with an anonymous registration of Movin1077Norfolk.com in late February.
107.7 recently completed its upgrade from a 1.7kW Class A licensed to Windsor, VA to a 15kW Class B1 increasing its coverage over the entire market. The new signal duplicates much of the coverage of 92.1 making the need to simulcast moot.
WKUS and WKSA began simulcasting its current Urban AC format in October 2010, when they assumed the format from what is now Classic Hits “Magic 105.3” WVMA.
VARTV.com adds that Kiss APD/middayer Big Dose was let go today after ten years with the station.
I’m guessing this will be aimed squarely at the older end of Z104 so that 103 Jamz can win the 18-34 crown.
Well, never mind. This is actually aimed at an audience that left Z104 behind years ago. I expected something like the current version of KTU but it looks like they went with something older-targeted.
Good bye Z104….I Love this station!!! Its the closest thing to 103.5 KTU in Long Island. This station has depth, but expand the song selection. Do a full 2 hours of 80’s and 90’s house on the weekends.
