Original Report 2/7: Last year Townsquare Media acquired 99.1 W256BU Albany, NY from Digital Radio Broadcasting for $245,000. Broadcasting with 250 watts from the tower of sister “Crush 105.7” WQSH, the translator covers the majority of the Albany market.
The company has registered a pair of domains for its new acquisition: 991TheMountain.com and Sunny991Albany.com. A Facebook page is in place for the latter teasing “The brightest way to fill your day with sound” coming on May 7, 2012.
99.1 is licensed to be fed by 105.7 WQSH, likely by an HD subchannel when the separate programming debuts.
