Update 6/13: NABCO confirms that WTDA and WMNI will flip to News on Thursday, June 14 at 6am.
The station will feature a local morning block anchored by Mark Nuce and Kelly Quinn with the remainder of the day featuring CBS News, America’s Radio News Network and local inserts. Late nights will feature syndicated talkers Jim Bohannon and Red Eye Radio. Weekend programming will consist of specialty talk shows.
Original Report 6/12: NABCO, Inc. is preparing to flip a pair of its stations in Columbus, OH to News.
“Classic Hits 103.9” WTDA Westerville and Standards 920 WMNI Columbus will soon be paired as NABCO has registered a number of domains for an upcoming format change. ColumbusNewsradio.com, Newsradio1039.com, Newsradio1039FM.com, Newsradio920AM.com, NewsradioWMNI.com, and NewsradioColumbus.com have been registered for the stations. Additionally, 103.9 has applied for new WMNI-FM call letters.
WTDA is one of four Classic Hits stations targeting the Columbus market along with Clear Channel’s “Oldies 93.3” WODC, Saga’s “Rewind 103.5/104.3” WNND/WNNP, and Runnymede’s “Kool 101.7” WNKO-FM. NABCO also owns Rock “99.7 The Blitz” WRKZ in the Columbus market.
