Alpha registered Energy941.com for one of two possibilities. Alpha currently owns Rhythmic CHR 94.1 KTFM Floresville/San Antonio TX and will shortly be closing on the acquisition of Hot AC "Mix 94.1" WHBC-FM Canton OH as part of its purchase of Digity. We've expected a flip to CHR at WHBC-FM before, but at this point we're not sold that a move in that direction will take place (especially to a Rhythmic leaning CHR format). That leaves KTFM, which is currently in a four-way battle with iHeart's "Mix 96.1" KXXM and "Hot 104.5" KZEP and Univision's "98.5 The Beat" KBBT. Would Alpha just rebrand KTFM as opposed to making further changes if San Antonio is indeed the destination?
--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---
As WBOC-TV closed on its purchase of the former Christian AC "Joy 102.5" WOLC-FM Princess Anne/Salisbury MD from Marantha, Inc. last week, domains have appeared to give a hint of what format will come to the station when they bring it back on-air. WBOCFM.com was registered directly to the station, while anonymous registrations were made for 1025WBOC.com, 1025WBOCFM.com, BestCountry1025.com and WBOC1025FM.com.
