Entercom’s “SportsRadio 95.7” KBWF San Francisco has begun to add permanent on-air hosts to its lineup, with August 1 set as relaunch day.
San Francisco 49ers analyst Eric Davis will join the station for 2-6pm. Davis, who also played for the 49ers and three other NFL teams will remain on 49ers radio broadcasts. Davis will be joined by Brandon Tierney, formerly of “ESPN New York” 1050 WEPN.
John Lund has left his 12-3pm slot at Portland’s “750 The Game” KXTG for the 10am to 2pm slot on KBWF. This trio will be joined by Dan Dibley, who jumped from crosstown KNBR in late May as new hires by KBWF PD Jason Barrett.
The Rob, Arnie and Sports show, based at Entercom sister KCTC Sacramento has been dropped from the 95.7 lineup. The program will move from 1pm-3pm to 4pm-6pm at its Sacramento flagship and “ESPN 94.5” KPLY Reno. No word on the remainder of the current hosts on the station.
Given that Entercom owns all-sports WEEI-850 in Boston, and since as far as I know, the call letters “KEEI” are available, could KBWF-95.7 become KEEI??
Why? WEEI means nothing outside of New England.
They’re not emphasizing the call letters at all, so there’s no reason to change it.
