A pair of stations in Northeast Idaho will be relocating to new locations. Frandsen Media’s 96.5 KAZZ Sugar City, ID will shift to 99.9 operating with 770 watts at 532 meters. Tri-State Media’s 100.1 KITT Soda Springs, ID will move to 100.3 in Wilson, WY with an increase from a Class A to Class C2 operating with 7.8kW at 336 meters. Cornerstone Community Radio has sold the Construction Permit for 93.5 W228CT Daytona Beach, FL to Southern Stone Communications for $18,000. Southern Stone will utilize the 250 watt translator to rebroadcast its News/Talk 1150 WNDB Daytona Beach. As part of a court order, Om P. As the FCC prepares to clear out the frozen 2003 Translator applications and open up the LPFM filing window later this year, many existing translators are hurrying to get their upgrades into the system. The past two weeks have been filled with dozens of upgrades applications. Starting in New York where 106.3 W292DV is trying once again to get relocated into the city. After discarding its hopes to operate in the city last year following interference claims the translator was unable to build out its CP on the Queens/Nassau county border. The translator has now applied for an STA to return to Long Island City, Queens with 4 watts to keep the license alive. It’s not every day that you see a full powered station traded for a translator. Cumulus and EMF Broadcasting made such a deal this week with Cumulus sending Oldies 102.3 WFVL-FM Lumberton, NC to EMF for 100.7 K264AS Mooringsport, LA. The translator, which serves the Shreveport market has a construction permit to move to downtown Shreveport with 250 watts. Following the FCC decision to force “104.7 The Oasis” W284BQ Detroit off the air until it can find a new frequency, Radio Power Inc. has applied to move the translator to 93.5 where it will operate with 99 watts. Radio Power has also purchased 97.5 W248AQ Harrison, MI from Radio Assist Ministry for $32,000. That translator has applied to move to downtown Detroit with 250 watts on 107.1.
