On August 1, iHeart applied to move what was originally 94.7 W234BW Parkersburg WV to Cleveland rebroadcasting News/Talk 1100 WTAM with 195w vertical/213m. Over the course of the two waiver periods, iHeart had seven translators that it applied to move to different destinations in each. W293CW was one of those where it was granted a Construction Permit to relocate to Marion OH as 106.5 W293CW rebroadcasting 1490 WMRN. On top of that the translator was given a six month extension of its CP to extend the time it had to be built from expiring on March 15 to September 15.

After being moved in February from mornings to afternoons at Entercom Hot AC “Star 94.1” WSTR Atlanta, the trio of Drex, Cassiday & Tingle are off the air. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports the station will pay the trio to sit out the remainder of their contract which expires at the end of this year. Drex and Cassiday Proctor had joined WSTR for mornings in January 2015 from 95.1 WNKS Charlotte where they were joined by Steve Tingle formerly of “Q101” Chicago and “Wired 96.5” Philadelphia. They were then moved to afternoons earlier this year after the addition of Jeff Dauler and Jenn Hobby for mornings. Mike Marino, who had hosted afternoons prior to the morning changes, will return to that timeslot.

The couple will join Riley Couture, who has been hosting mornings solo on WWPW since the exit of co-host Scotty K and producer Bret Mega last month. PK himself was one of the end of 2015 talent cuts made by CBS Radio across the country.
