Neversink will acquire 1340 WALL in a swap for 95.7 W239AC Middletown. Original Report 8/17: Bud & Juli Williamson’s Neversink Media is acquiring 1340 WALL Middletown, NY from Townsquare Media. WALL has simulcast sister 1390 WEOK Poughkeepsie in recent years, most recently as Spanish Adult Hits “Juan Hudson Valley“. Neversink will flip the station to an English language format featuring veteran Hudson Valley personality Mark West in mornings. West had been heard on WALL until earlier this year. ESPN Radio Adds Hudson Valley & Loses Green Bay

ESPN Radio has gained an outlet in the Hudson Valley of New York, while losing its fairly recent addition in Green Bay, WI. Sunrise Broadcasting has flipped 1220 WGNY Newburgh from Oldies to Sports as “Fox 1220 ESPN“. The new format will also be heard on 97.3 W247AW Poughkeepsie, which drops its simulcast of sister AC “Fox 103.1” WJGK Newburgh. WGNY/W247AW will run the national ESPN Radio feed 24/7 for the time being though they do have plans to add local programming. ESPN previously served the Hudson Valley on 1050 WEPN New York prior to that station moving its programming to 98.7 last April.
