1450 KTZR Tucson Flips To Talk

iHeartMedia will flip Spanish Adult Hits “La Preciosa 1450” KTZR Tucson AZ to Talk on Monday, September 26. The new “Talk Of Tucson” will duplicate some of the programming of sister 790 KNST in different timeslots. Glenn Beck will add a live clearance on KTZR from 6-9am while continuing on KNST from 4-7pm. Other shows that will air on KTZR include Trending Today with Rusty Humphries from 9am-12pm, Michael Savage from 12-3pm, Michael Berry 3-5pm, Rob Hunter 5-6pm, America Now with Meghan McCain 6-9pm and 12am-3am, Ground Zero 9pm-12am, and Alex Jones 3-6am. KTZR will also serve as the flagship for the new Tucson Roadrunners of the American Hockey League.

Anchor Radio and Ryan Media have come to a settlement to resolve one of the mutually exclusive conflicts created on the first day of the AM Translator Waiver Period. Anchor Radio is taking a $25,000 cash settlement from Ryan Media to withdraw its application for 104.7 W284AD New Albany IN to move to 96.1 with 250w/115m from its existing tower site. Lontine’s group is planning on launching “96.9 The Cloud” K245AD Arvada/Boulder in early 2016, which KBUD could serve as originating signal. In addition to beginning to operate 590 KFNS Wood River IL/St. Louis via LMA, Markel Radio Group LLC will acquire the station for $250,000 plus an additional $50,000 in fees from Detalus Consulting, the bankruptcy receiver for Grand Slam Sports. The new format will feature a pair of syndicated shows originating at Entravision’s “Jose 97.5/103.1” KLYY/KDLD/KDLE Los Angeles: Alex ‘El Genio’ Lucas in mornings and Erazno y La Chokolata in afternoons. Rosmar Vega, who is heard on Lotus stations in Bakersfield, Fresno and Las Vegas will add Tucson in middays.
