Anyone know anything about this station’s transmitter?  The station says they broadcast from a florist.  When using the coordinates supplied by Recnet and Radio-Locator in Google Maps, it shows a house in a residential neighborhood.  I see no indications of a transmitter in the street view.
23 watts at 26 feet above the ground.  The predicted signal contours don’t reflect reality as it doesn’t normally reach that far.

Here’s a photo of the studio and what appears to be the antenna.  I wonder if the FCC listing (and application) have the longitude wrong… they seem to show a location about 4 blocks away, exactly due east.

I can hear it very well over in Hebron and all along I-275 from I-71/75 to the Petersburg exit.  The signal in my direction is pretty much spot on with the coverage map at Radio-Locator.  The hills block it pretty badly if you’re on I-71/75 in KY.  Clear as a bell all along Route 8, too until you get up into West Covington.

They get out pretty well for 10 watts. Listen to them online since their signal doesn’t make it down quite this far where I live.

Thanks for the link.  Interesting because Recnet initially put their antenna in a nearby residential area at Mayhew and Plum Road.  That is until the recent power increase from 23 to 39 watts and the antenna raise from 26 to 157 feet.  Now, the location is dead-on with what you show.

I noted that their signal doesn’t always correspond with their predicted signal contours such as on I-75 as you said.  I also can’t here them on the west side of downtown.  I can start hearing them somewhat up the hill on I-75 north of town and get spatterings of them in Norwood and along I-71 going north of there.

They obviously did fire up the new stick.  Thirty-nine watts and 157 ft HAAT.  Wherever terrain or buildings aren’t blocking the signal, it seems to be coming in better especially in downtown on Fort Washington Way and going south into Kentucky (except in Covington).  I was listening to it all the way down to Florence Y’all.  I stopped there, but it sounded like it was breaking up.  I thought I lost it in Crescent Springs when I was going south, but then it came back in.  I was even hearing it in Norwood on Montgomery Road.  Not very well, but at least I was hearing it.

I saw recently that they still didn’t have a page on Wikipedia.  So, I created one.
