While in Portland last Wednesday, I noticed that the Big Jab translator that was briefly on 102.3 is now back on the air, this time on 102.5. I was going to say that now with 1440 having a translator, 870 is the last “Portland” signal not to have one, but 102.5 is technically licensed as a translator for 96.3.

In reality now though, all these AM stations pretty much have translators:

    560 WGAN – 105.5 (technically WMGX HD2)
    970 WZAN – 101.5
    1310 WLOB – 100.5
    1440 WRED – 102.5 (as mentioned before, technically 96.3)
    1490 WBAE – 107.1

My guess is that it’ll be listed as a 96.3 rebroadcaster until JJ figures out something to do with the 1440 signal, not even sure if 102.5 fits within the 2 m/v contour of 1440. AFAIK 1440 is a direct rebroadcaster of 96.3, unless they clear different sports on the AM when they have conflicts on the FM.

    102.5 now has WMDR’s 88.9 God’s country.J.J. is taking over the former God’s country translator on 92.5.
