A few tidbits about the local stations and their fall plans:

WBNX TV 55’s schedule is already out in it’s own thread.

The Wendy Williams Show moves to WEWS ABC 5 on Sept. 9 (weekdays @ 10a) – of course it’s being replaced by Kelly Clarkson’s new show on WKYC NBC 3 @ 2p. the same day.

TV 5 will also debut former Today Show and MSNBC anchor Tameron Hall’s new talk show @ 3p on 9/9.

Motivational speaker Mel Robbins’ new talker debuts 9/16 @ 11a on WJW Fox 8, bumping Dr Oz over to WBNX (11a – beginning 9/2)

WUAB CW 43 will have 2 new court shows – Personal Injury Court M-F @ 9a (X2), and Judge Jerry (as in Springer – yes THAT Jerry Springer) M-F @ 1p (X2) Those start on Sept 16.

Meredith Viera’s new game show 25 Worlds or Less will debut 9/16 on WOIO CBS 19 (no time announced, but likely 9:30a)

Former Browns Pro Bowl kick returner Josh Cribbs and his wife Maria will have their own daily 1/2 hour show (Cribbs in the CLE) debuting 9/9 on WOIO (9a), and replayed on WUAB CW 43 (7p) Cribbs will also be on WOIO’s Sunday morning Tailgate 19 Browns pregame show (11a)

WJW is airing a second episode of New Day Cleveland at 11am, right after new episodes at 10am.  That’s until Mel Robbins’ new show debuts on the 16th.

Wendy Williams will now have been on WUAB (who carried her show went it launched), WBNX, WJW, WKYC, and WEWS.

Judge Jerry will be on following Jerry Springer reruns on WUAB.  That’s two hours of Springer every weekday come September 9th.

With Cribs in the CLE coming on WUAB at 7pm, Inside Edition will move on the station to 11pm, followed by Bob’s Burgers at 11:30pm.

WKYC is also teasing a big reveal on September 23.  Could the same day they launch their new midday newscast.

It’ll actually be Judge Jerry (X2) at 1p, with CW’s airing of the “Best of Springer” at 2p.

So from 1-3p it’s literally “Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!”

WKYC is changing its afternoon lineup next week between then and when they launch its 5pm newscast next year.

Kelly Clarkson’s new show will air at 2pm, Daily Blast Live will stay put at 3pm, Dr. Phil moves up an hour to 4pm, and Ellen shifts an hour to 5pm.

I didn’t see the Phil/Ellen switch coming, and I thought Kelly was going to air 3pm.

I didn’t see the Phil/Ellen switch coming, and I thought Kelly was going to air 3pm.

WKYC’s 4-8p block (Ellen at 4, Dr Phil at 5, News at 6, NBC Nightly News at 6:30, News at 7, Entertainment Tonight at 7:30) had been etched in stone since 2004.

Last time a station had that kind of long term programming stability, was WEWS from 1986-2011 (Oprah at 4, Live on 5 at 5, News at 6, ABC World News Tonight at 6:30, Wheel of Fortune at 7, Jeopardy at 7:30)

I think this is a set up for Dr Phil and Ellen getting bumped up an hour (3p and 4p respectively) in January for channel 3’s new 5p newscast.

Daily Blast Live will be the odd show out in that scenario, likely banished to late nights.
