How long is she going to last this time. Must be getting low on cash, those 5 minute infomercials didn’t pay much I guess. Before you know it, she will find an excuse to quit again…She is almost like a bad weed that you can’t get rid of from TV.

We all know 8 won’t rehire her back that’s for sure, 5 also won’t take her back and the same goes with 19 and 43. So we’ll see how long Robin lasts for a second time at Channel 3.

WEWS is adding a new reporter in March.

Her name is Olivia Fecteau, and she comes from WCMH in Columbus.  She’s also married to Brett Hiltbrand, a sports anchor/reporter at Spectrum (both Spectrum Sports and Spectrum News 1 Ohio).

    Maybe Andre is retiring.

    Maybe Andre is retiring.

    Doubt it.

Andre just got the big chair in the Dick Goddard Weather Center after years of being Spock to Mr. G’s Kirk – he ain’t leaving this quick.

More likely, Beth’s there just to have an extra hand on the ranch.

The Now Cleveland on WEWS is now “News 5 at 4.”  It’s still a hybrid of local and national features, but has incorporated Channel 5’s local graphics in place of those “Now” graphics they had for years.

It’s about time. Hasn’t “The NOW” been pretty much a dead thing for at least a year?

Nick Camino is leaving WTAM 1100-AM to join WKYC Channel 3 as the weekend evening sports anchor.

I’d bet Mark “Munch” Bishop will take Camino’s slot as a stopgap – keeping in mind that the Cavs still have a few more games, and the Indians are going to start their season within the next couple of weeks, so there’s no real need to have a full time evening guy until October (hopefully late October).

Or maybe Greg Brinda as well…..is he still around at WTAM?

I saw Janessa Webb doing the weather on NBC Overnight/early morning news this past week. Looked like someone had just woken her up from a deep sleep.

Seems like Janessa Webb has not changed a bit, she looked sleepy  while at Channel 5. Surprised NBC picked her up…must be low budget to be hiring Janessa Webb.

I think NBC was looking for someone specific, and Janessa met the criteria.

Munch is pretty busy with his afternoon show on WARF/1350, simulcast on WNIO/1390 and WNCO/1340, but done IIRC from the Independence facility. He literally just walks down the hall to the WTAM studios at 6pm whenever filling in for Nick already. But he’s also emerged as Mike Snyder’s primary fill-in in morning drive (meaning his “Munch on Sports” sportscasts are again heard on Majic and WMMS whenever he fills in).

Never heard anything about Greg leaving the station, he’s mostly around during the Indians and Browns seasons. He’s my choice for assuming all of Nick’s duties.

Another option is Bruce Hooley, he’s available after iHeart flipped “105.7 The Zone” in Columbus back to classic rock as “The Brew” a few weeks ago.

Recorded in Ultra Stereo, the ultimately superior cousin to Normal Stereo!
