Is he going to do one-tank trips?

No, but he may get tanked on one trip.

One of his last appearances on TV 5 was at Wade Oval Wednesday and he was definitely tanked.

Another new reporter has joined Cleveland 19. Shannon Houser comes over from FOX59/CBS4 in Indianapolis. She’s a local so she’s essentially returning home. She reports on the 10 and 11 newscasts.

WKYC also has a new news director (though with a different title) – Adam Miller from NBC’s Today Show.

Beth McLeod has left Cleveland 19.  She posted a goodbye note on her Facebook page, and her bio is already gone from the station’s website.

I was wondering why I’ve been seeing Laufman so much lately.  Beth sure was a happy gal.  I wish I could get some of those happy pills.

Maybe WOIO/WUAB can bring back Bruce Kalinowski for weekend weather.

Cleveland 19 has debuted its new 9am show called “Sunnyside Up,” which has been digital only for a year.  It’s not a traditional newscast, though it has Jeff Tanchak with weather updates.  Its morning anchors, Neeha Curtis and Julian Glover, host the show, and it’s more about the main topics and what viewers think.  The show takes place in the station’s street level studio at E. 12th and Chester, which has not been used in 20 years or so for its morning news.

Bet you Beth has a 6-month non-compete….so we might not see her again on local TV until next Spring. Denise Dufala waited out a non-compete when she left 19/43.

    Quote

All depends on if she was let out of her existing contract, or if it simply lapsed.

If it lapsed, then she’s a free agent, if there was still time on it, then the non-compete is in play.
