    The stations affected are.

Veteran Vermont radio broadcaster Steve Cormier has agreed to acquire The Radio Vermont Group owned by Kenley Squier. Terms were not disclosed. Included in the deal are 1kW WDEV-AM (550) and 400W WDEV-FM (96.1) Barre, WCVT-FM (101.7) Burlington, 350W WEXP-FM (101.5) Rutland and 5.4kW WLVB-FM (93.9) Morrisville. Cormier was the Sales Director for Radio Vermont Group and the former co-host of the program “Corm and the Coach.” Cormier will assume operations immediately. GM Eric Michaels exits WDEV after 30 years at the end of the month.

“We’ll be able to maintain the relevance of WDEV in the Vermont radio spectrum, which I find very exciting,” said Squier. “The station will continue with Vermonters running the operation, based on the good work of Eric Michaels for three decades. The hope had been from the beginning that a plan would come forward to maintain a Vermont news station.”
