Merger to take place.
The stations include KRON San Francisco, KLAS Las Vegas and KHON Honolulu. If your wonder how the Media General/Nexstar deal affects you.
KLAS was already owned by Nexstar, bought from Landmark in late 2014.
Apparently the deal is today.
Note the Nexstar Deal will have no impact on KRON 4 even though its Nexstar’s/ Media General’s flagship station. The merger will have little effect to Bay Area viewers in terms of ratings.
The reason here is that all the major stations here are owned by the Network.
but in other places yes some of you may see affiliation changes and layoffs in your area.
Update at Nexstar’s flagship station KRON a new GM may be announced soon
