As of November 5th, 2018 Kool-FM in Phoenix has flipped to Christmas. Note this is an update to what Lance Venta did last week when he did an editorial on why Christmas Music playlists are hitting radio earlier than in the past where Thanksgiving week was the traditional time for radio stations OTA and Internet to go on the air. And its on an Entercom owned outlet.

Entercom flips Classic Hits KOOL-FM/Phoenix to an all-Christmas music format for the holidays. The station will return to Classic Hits on December 26. To kick off the holiday festivities and make the switch, Santa Claus was in the studio at 6pm on Friday, November 2.

Here is the Lance Venta Editorial that shows stations at the time of post that Flipped to Christmas music.

And “Your 70’s Playlist” previously on KOOL-HD2 (moved to HD3 to accommodate ‘ROQ of the 80’s added to HD2) has flipped to all 80’s.
