The sale to Latino Public Radio is apparently dead, with LPR’s programming moving online as of April 1st; until a new sale closes, 1290 (which is now WRPA) will be simulcasting RIPR’s other outlets…
Latino Public Radio will go off 1290 AM
As an update, LPR’s head has been trying to get R.I.’s attorney general to block a potential sale (presumably, to a commercial entity), by invoking the state’s “Public Radio Conversions Act”; so far, though, there won’t be any legal intervention…
