The San Diego Reader reports that the company–which acquired the one AM and one FM along with co-owned KFMB-TV–is selling off the radio stations, with a deal supposedly to be announced by mid-November.  The story speculates that iHeart might be the likeliest buyer–even though such a purchase definitely would put it over the local station cap.  (RAMP has apparently confirmed that the stations are on the block, but not any of the speculation regarding a potential buyer.)

Interesting – I wonder if this means they will eventually spin off their recently acquired Columbus, OH pair (WBNS-AM and FM) from their WBNS-TV purchase.

I’m wondering if iHeart would sell off one of their FMs and WYTS 1230/105.3 in order to get WBNS AM/FM, or if NABCO breaks the bank and overpays dearly, which would never happen anyway.

Otherwise, Tegna won’t be able to sell those two stations, as no actual buyers exist.

Recorded in Ultra Stereo, the ultimately superior cousin to Normal Stereo!
