Bread, milk, and eggs are one thing, but why is all that toilet paper stuffed under the sofas in the lounge, for cryin’ out loud?
My dear WMC, as you know we have lots of ground to cover to make up 2,984 pages by our anniversary date, which we missed. As Director of the Fun Department, I must tell you that moving sucks, so we are more about celebrating the International Band Camp Director’s foresight in developing and opening other band camps, so that though we are refugees, we do not so much have to look the part.
No irony there.December 9, 2013 at 1:16 pm #86388
For cryin’ out loud, I wonder if this new home even has pages or does the thread just keep getting longer and longer?December 9, 2013 at 1:45 pm #86397
Longer pages seem to be the order of the day so far, but you never know how it will work out since RI is still building.
No irony there.December 9, 2013 at 3:05 pm #86424

A fine tooth comb is something that I have not needed to carry around in my back pocket for at least 2 decades now.
Still at Page 1 which means we’ve got a LONG way to go to get to 10,000 pages.December 9, 2013 at 3:58 pm #86440
For at least two decades now I’ve been playing with bikes, but my tenure in motocross was only for a small portion of that period, relatively speaking, and I would probably still be involved with MX today were it not for more pressing matters, like my job and my fiscal situation.
That was why I got out–didn’t have time for it like I used to and it was becoming financially infeasible with the economy the way it was/is. Our last official race happened around late-2007. Wish I’d been an Amazon user then; might have held out a little bit longer.
Hey, dmarg, you made it. So that leaves just one more to go, or maybe two more if MarcB decides to join us from radio-talk.

Were it not for more pressing matters, like my job and my fiscal situation, I might just spend all my time bicycle riding and playing the Fantastic Word Game.December 9, 2013 at 4:55 pm #86462
Bicycle riding and playing the Fantastic Word Game (FWG as everyone but WMC acknowledges) are suggestions we made to the library interns who were either screaming about not knowing which box contained styling gel, or panicked because they could not find their little nail drill for the little holes in their nails through which they bolt their tiny little nail jewels.
We told them not to panic, because WMC would be along to console them in a little while.
No irony there.December 9, 2013 at 7:56 pm #86492
Nail jewels to your earlobes and you’ll never again have to worry about losing your earrings.
See what I did there?December 9, 2013 at 10:06 pm #86522
Losing your earrings is better than losing your bearings which a lot of us did after the other place suddenly shut down on our 7th anniversary.
So what should we consider the anniversary date of this version of TFWG/FWG? And, dmargalotti has a good point. There are no pages here, there are no post numbers within the thread here, and there aren’t even any post numbers for each person here. And clicking on this thread brings you right to the first post. Why doesn’t it bring me to the most recent post in the thread? Am I gonna have to scroll all the way down each and every time? It’s ALREADY getting tiresome and it’s only been a few days. It’s gonna take a year just to scroll through 10,000 pages to make the next contribution. Hoo boy, Darth, you and the boys have some work to do with Lance to get these things ironed out. 😀
For the newbies, allow me to introduce all of us to you ( I am presuming that, for now, we all have the same positions):
WMC2014 (formerly WMC2006): Game Czar
dmargalotti: International Director Of Band Camp
quadraphonic: Director of TPS Reports (quad has taken a leave of absence since the move; I will take care of TPS Reports for now)
Miss Silkie: Chief Mixologist; Director of Fun; Head Librarian; Manager of Miss Silkie’s Tasty Tidbits
notDarth: IT Director
Everyone else: radiorewind (LARR as most prefer); scanman.
Everyone is welcome. Please keep your contributions to one sentence and one sentence only beginning with the bolded ending clue from the previous contribution. Thank you!December 9, 2013 at 11:08 pm #86533
Our 7th Anniversary was ruined by inconsiderate morons who shut down the other site.
Marc BramhallDecember 9, 2013 at 11:12 pm #86536
Inconsiderate morons who shut down the other site are not welcome here and will be run out of town should they show their faces here.
ynkeesfn82, welcome to TFWG. You need to use the [ and the ], not the < or the >, for the bolding and italicizing. But we know what you mean. 😀 Nice to have you here, please join us on a regular basis.
Never mind, after I posted, ynkeesfan became MarcB and he had edited his contribution using the correct [ and ]. How ya doing, Marc?December 9, 2013 at 11:29 pm #86540
Should they show their faces here, those who shut down RD, will be kicked out and I will make sure that they will not come back.December 10, 2013 at 12:58 am #86553
They will not come back, we hope, but I don’t believe that will be much of an issue, as they are the same people who once told me their site “doesn’t use HTTP” (I wish I were joking) so in all honesty, I don’t believe they’re savvy or intelligent enough to figure out how to find this site.
Alright, MarcB, you made it! So that’s just one more left to go, then we’ll hit the jackpot (and that’ll make me very happy.)
Actually you can also use HTML tags (the “<” and “>” WMC mentioned above) on here for bolding/obliquing text, provided you give them as “strong” or “em”, respectively, and terminate them where appropriate. That’s what I’ve been doing.
And Lance Venta, thanks for fixing the “long threads” problem and implementing a page view.

I don’t believe they’re savvy or intelligent enough to figure out how to find this site so let’s not worry about things like that but, instead, let’s concentrate on getting quad back and making internet history again (in no particular order) .
Wow, that was quick, we have pages now, and more specifically, we are on Page 3. Yay! Now, since we are apparently very powerful with our ideas, times (meaning time of day) for the posts and numbers of posts for each person would be nice to see at some point in the future.
By the way, it being approximately 8:15am as I write this, that means it’s 2 or 3 days in a row now that our friend, dmargalotti, has not been here for the Early Morning Contribution (EMC as most prefer). I provided it yesterday (difficult to tell with no time stamp). We may have to assign that task to someone else if he can’t keep up with the demands.
Edit: Now on Page 4! Woohoo!!
