Longtime Vermont Public Radio personality Reuben Jackson, who most recently has been hosting a Friday-night jazz show, will be stepping down from VPR this coming April.

    VPR blog entry:

    http://digital.vpr.net/post/reuben-jackson-leave-vpr-april-2018 .

Given that VPR’s original network is now mostly news/information programming, and that Jackson’s jazz show was the last weeknight music programming on it (VPR also has a 24/7 classical-music network), I suspect that when Jackson leaves, the timeslot now occupied by his show (8-11 P.M. on Friday nights) will probably be converted to news/information, likely with a fifth night of CBC Radio One’s “Q” (now aired Monday-through-Thursday at that hour) with additional news/information programming to fill the rest of the slot.
