You want it, you need it, YOU GOT IT!!!!

Here it is! An aircheck from last week when the Yankees played against the Mets at Yankee Stadium one more time as heard on WROW’s “Magic 590/100.5”. This is the entire game, no editing as need, if you are a Yankee fan, I will give it shot once more. It was originally scheduled for 7/23, but it got postponed due to heavy rain. So they pushed back to last week which was August 13th and it works. The weather was a bit cloudy with light rain and drizzle and it was fine for the game. As I mentioned before, the Yankees lost, and the Mets beat them 8-5 the final score.

And that put up the wraps for the 2018 Subway Series. I’ve been posting airchecks of the Subway Series since June and in July, except for one game in August due to bad weather. If you are a true Yankee fan if you haven’t pay any attention, I will have an archive of the Subway Series from the past 6 games. I will it up soon. Enjoy in 4 parts.

Tell us what you think about the Subway Series. Do you like it? Or do you enjoy it? Leave it in the comments below.

Disney, is there any copyright violation posting copyrighted material here? I think I know the answer.

Not really, this was recorded off of “Magic 590/100.5” where they are carrying Mets baseball, and I still enjoyed the Subway Series. It was an amazing run for this year.

I wonder if there is a count on how many people listen to his “äir checks”. My guess close to 0, which is how he gets away with it. Anyone interested in the Mets or Yankees will listen live not listen to a recording days or weeks later.
Disney, Musicradio 77 , M&T productions if you listen to a game there is always a copyright notice baring retransmitting the broadcast in any form.
What you are doing violates that , but I guess nobody is noticing or cares.
    We have covered this before.

Thanks for the info. I don’t have to get into some copyright issues hearing the play-by-play. I recorded the entire “Subway Series” from WOR when it was heard on WROW’s “Magic 590/100.5” using my TuneIn app, and it never blacked out the games, but it was piped in with MLB’s Gameday Audio which is a season long subscription player where you can listen to play-by-play alongside the “Subway Series” that I posted before. I always give MLB credit for the audio portion of the game. iHeartRadio app doesn’t carried games via stream, TuneIn did where they had “Magic” streaming online with the Mets play-by-play that I just recorded during the last week including “Subway Series” where the Yankees played against the Mets in which you don’t hear it on WGNY-AM 1220 that I can’t pick up in Kingston, WFAN had a huge signal during the daytime and in nighttime when it reaches Kingston. When “Magic” carries the Mets, it’s on a web stream.

What’s going to happen next season, the Mets will not be carrying play-by-play on “Magic” via stream, it will go to oldies, not play-by-play, it should’ve been on AM only, not on a stream.

This is the one time I posted the Yankees and the Mets in the “Subway Series” on WROW’s “Magic 590/100.5” on all airchecks for those of you can’t hear it on WGNY-AM since the signal is horrible at night. “Annamaria” has mentioned it on its first post.

Apparently the moderator(s) here finally realized that, all of Disney’s handiwork vanished. Don’t know why it took months for the mods to do that.

Since I block him I don’t regularly see his crap unless I click show all posts. Then boom they are still there. I too have wondered why the mods have not removed the links at least.

And speaking of the Subway Series and the Yankees, there is only one more aircheck that I finally add to my collection which has nothing to do with the Yankees, is the final game of the regular season as heard on WROW’s “Magic 590/100.5” from this past Sunday.

It was in Citi Field where the Mets played against the Marlins, and it was also the last day for the partnership with the Mets and WOR at 710 as part of iHeart until the station went their separate ways before the Mets are moving to WCBS-AM next season. After 9 innings and not getting a home run, the Mets won with a final score of 1-0. Plus, Howie Rose made his closing thoughts before they wrapped up the regular season and looked ahead to next season at a new home which is WCBS-AM, and also featured a portion of the postgame show, along with a little extra at the very end where the quality wasn’t that good since I recorded using my Olympus voice recorder along with an iHeartRadio app where WOR used to carried the Mets with husband final thoughts that it was not being heard on “Magic”, because the station went back to the music to rejoined the final hour of “The Best of Dick Clark’s Rock, Roll & Remember” in progress. I recorded the entire game off of “Magic 590/100.5’s” webstream using my TuneIn while WBWZ’s “Z93” carried the same Mets game since it was not carried on iHeartRadio app, but on a main FM station, because “Z93” has officially done with Mets baseball and its partnership with iHeart where they usually carried the Mets from WOR when it was heard on WKIP in Poughkeepsie for 2 years, and one year at WBWZ’s “Z93” for one season. No Mets affiliation will be at the moment until they will move to one of the the non-iHeart HV station in the coming year.

And speaking of the WROW and the Mets, “Magic” will not be carrying the Mets next season. Thank God! Now I’m going to listen to the oldies on “Magic 590/100.5” which is now Mets free. I hope they will do better than that.

I will post the aircheck sometime later, but I’m not going to go into some copyright trouble like we mentioned in previous posts.

This thread was started over a year ago by someone having problems receiving WFAN after dark.
IT IS WAY, WAY, LIKE A YEAR AGO TIME TO STICK A FORK IN IT.

I don’t want to stick a fork on me, but I just want to bump this thread a bit, so I just want to give a bit of an update. Just to let you know, the Mets season is over, and the Yankees are in the Wild Card game playing against the Oakland A’s tonight.

Like I said, I have the full aircheck of the Mets final game at CitiField this past Sunday against the Miami Marlins, and also the final broadcast for WOR until iHeart’s contract with the Mets is over. I see WBWZ’s “Z93”, another iHeart station will not be carrying the Mets next season, because of the move to WCBS-AM will be the new home.

In addition, it will be the final Mets game to be heard on WROW’s “Magic 590/100.5”. “Magic” has been carried the Mets for a year since March when they moved from WINU’s former “Win 104.9” (now “Alt 104.9”). According to “Magic 590’s” Facebook page that the Mets will not be back next season. For now, “Magic” will resume the oldies/classic hits format since March when it returned back on Monday.

I will post it later. But like I said before, I just want to bump this thread for an update on what has been going on. I can’t get the Yankees on WGNY-AM here in Kingston, because it’s too far away.

If you want to hear the Yankees, there a link to a Free Baseball Radio online if you don’t get the MLB Gameday Audio for $19 per season, it would be a way to go.

So WROW will “resume” its oldies/classics format. Does that mean they might improve? I listen to dozens of oldies stati0ns on the net that sound better including WGNY from the Hudson Valley. Magic has no magic for me just an uninspired mish-mash of stuff including boring elevator style music. The Saturday night show has no purpose like a dancing party or something fun.  There’s no imagination there let alone magic.  I’ll never forget how a station official didn’t even know who “Little Richard” was.

As far as my Metsies, our TV broadcasts are the best with just three guys in the booth instead of the circus of stars on the Yankee broadcasts that I never miss the radio feeds. Howie’s great but they should hire a native Met/New Yorker for his sidekick.

I do agree. I listened to “Magic” and it sounded great, sounded better than WGNY-FM’s “Fox Oldies” and WLNG. They also has a variety of 80’s songs that can also be heard on classic hits stations like WBPM where is completely overlapped along with WGNY-FM. “Magic” is like the best of both worlds if you take two of the competing stations like WGNY-FM and WBPM, and gobbled up into one huge format. Like I said, “Magic” did mostly play a lot of 70’s and 80’s hits with very little 90’s and standards. My guess is that “Magic” with its 80’s approach, they might trying to competing with another classic hits station which is WTRY at 98.3 which is now going to be a direct competitor.

As far as baseball goes, the Yankees are now in the playoffs. Yanks beat the A’s in the Wild Card game last night to go to the ALDS which is the best of 5 games. This is the post-season.

And I thought Doug Walker showed the worst possible level of incompetence regarding the concept of “fair use.” Guess I was wrong.

Recorded in Ultra Stereo, the ultimately superior cousin to Normal Stereo!

You want it, you need it, YOU GOT IT!!!!

This is it, the final aircheck of the 2018 regular season from this past weekend where the Amazing Mets finished up the season against the Marlins. This was officially the final broadcast to be carried on WOR 710, because the Mets has been part of the station for 5 years beginning in 2014 when it was Clear Channel, now iHeart Media, and also the final broadcast to be carried on WROW’s “Magic 590/100.5” as you can hear, and so did WBWZ’s “Z93” which was also a Mets affiliate. After the show abruptly ended when “Magic” goes to the final hour of the “Best of Dick Clark’s Rock, Roll & Remember” already in progress, I decided to throw a little extra towards the end to give thanks to our listeners for bringing the Mets to WOR for the final time. WROW will not be carried Mets baseball next season according to “Magic’s” Facebook page, thank goodness for that.

As I said, there’s nothing else to say about it. Here you go!

Since I did not posted onto YouTube, I will post clips from the final game on YouTube, because I don’t want to get into some copyright trouble from MLB. So let’s enjoy the full game. This is from this past weekend.
