2 weeks ago, they signed Trevor Daly to a 3-year contract that worth $9 million dollars that the goal is this team could start a new playoff streak next spring when the team moves to the new Little Caesars Arena. Meanwhile, the Pistons had acquired Avery Bradley from the Boston Celtics along with the 2nd round pick in 2019 for Marcus Morris meaning teams from the East are lock up for the playoffs next spring: Cavs, Celtics, Wiz, Raptors, Bucks. The Nets, Knicks, and Magic are not ready to complete for a playoff spot at all, the Sixers are no longer tanking after 4 years and ready begin a new direction by returning to the playoff by 2020, The Bulls, Pacers, and Hawks has lost major players to different teams, so therefore the Heat, Hornets, and Pistons could be ready in 2018.

Highly unlikely. The Red Wings are an extreme underdog according to oddsmakers. Their odds of winning the Cup may be the highest in franchise history.
