After stunting all weekend with Rolf Harris’ “Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport”, KNXR flipped to Rock leaning Classic Hits “Minnesota 97.5” at 12pm today.
The new format takes on Townsquare Media’s rimshot Oldies “Cool 104.3” KVGO Spring Valley and iHeartMedia’s Classic Rock “Laser 101.7” KRCH. The new format launched with Eagles “Hotel California” and Don Maclean’s “American Pie”.

Original Report 3/6: Lynn Ketelsen and John Linder’s Blooming Prairie Farm Radio has closed on its purchase of Hot AC “97.5 Pulse-FM” KNXR Rochester MN and has begun stunting in preparation of a new format.
KNXR is looping Rolf Harris’ “Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport” and promoting a new format will debut on Monday, March 7 at 12:00pm. The station debuted the now former “Pulse” identity in February 2015 following its purchase by Greg Jensen’s Hometown Broadcasting for $1.1 million. Jensen turned around and sold KNXR to Blooming Prairie Farm Radio in December for $3.2 million.
Linder registered multiple call letter based domains for KNXR prior to filing its acquisition of the station in November 2014: 975KNXR.com, 975KNXRFM.com, KNXR97-5.com, KNXR975.com, and KNXRFM.com.
