EMF will pay $350,000 to El Dorado for KSLY-FM.
KSLY-FM has applied for a main studio waiver to rebroadcast 91.9 KLVR Middletown CA meaning that it will become the “K-Love” affiliate for San Luis Obispo while 88.5 KLVH will perhaps switch over to “Air 1“.
Original Report 7/15: The sell-off of El Dorado Broadcasters’ Central California assets continues as the company has agreed to sell 96.1 KSLY-FM San Luis Obispo to Educational Media Foundation.
KSLY-FM dropped its short-lived Country “96.1 SLO Country” format at the end of June and along with sister 101.3 KJRW Los Osos-Baywood Park went dark, while sister 107.3 KURQ Grover Beach flipped from Active Rock to Regional Mexican as Gold Coast Radio began operating it via LMA. No purchase price has been released yet.
EMF already operates its Christian AC “K-Love” network on 88.5 KLVH San Luis Obispo, so KSLY will likely join its Christian CHR “Air 1” network. Perhaps with the KJRW calls recently parked on 101.3?
