iHeartMedia CHR 93.3 WFLZ Tampa has named Rob Kruz as its new Program Director.
Kruz joins the station from iHeart’s “Z104.3” WZFT Baltimore where he was Program Director/afternoon host. Kruz was promoted to PD from APD/MD in February 2015. Prior to joining WZFT he hosted nights at “Hot 99.5” WIHT Washington DC and also worked at Hot AC “Q104” WQAL Cleveland and 96.3 WDVD Detroit.
Kruz succeeds John Mayer who exited earlier this month.
93.3 FLZ, Tampa Bay’s No. 1 Hit Music Channel, announced today that Rob Kruz has been named Program Director, effective immediately.
Kruz will work closely with on-air personalities and sales to oversee 93.3 FLZ’s on-air content, digital footprint and music programming. He will report to Travis Daily, Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia Tampa Bay.

Kruz previously served as the Program Director and afternoon drive personality for WZFT in Baltimore, MD. He has worked as on-air talent for WIHT-FM in Washington, D.C. and WQAL-FM in Cleveland, OH. He began his radio career in Detroit, MI at WDRQ while he attended the University of Michigan.
