Quicksilver Broadcasting sells Classic Rock “Z104” 104.1 WMZK and Classic Country “730 The Patriot” WJMT Merrill/Wausau WI to WRVM Inc. for $260,000. WRVM will convert both stations to non-commercial simulcasts of Christian 102.7 WRVM Suring WI.
Broadway Media sells Silent 107.9 KAOX Shelley/Idaho Falls ID to Frandsen Media for $25,000. As part of the deal Frandsen will also assume Broadway’s obligations for the frequency changes required at 99.1 KNYN Fort Bridger WY (to 103.9), 103.9 KGNT Smithfield UT (to 99.1), and 95.9 KLZX Tremonton UT (to 99.9 Weston ID) as part of previous upgrades to allow Broadway’s predecesors to upgrade their signals in the Salt Lake City market. KAOX previously completed its move from 107.3 in Kemmerer WY.
Desert Broadcasters is acquiring Silent 920 KPSI Palm Springs and 1340 KWXY Cathedral City CA from R&R Radio Corporation for $375,000. Both stations went dark in August as its elderly owners sought to cut back on their assets.
Alex Media sells the CP for 97.7 KPDS Blanca CO to Mainstreet Broadcasting Company for $55,000.
The estate of James Hoffman sells Gospel 106.3 WOAH Glennville GA to Liberty Radio, Inc. for $200,000.
Charles Carver Jr. is acquiring the 50% of AC simulcast “The Choice” 960 WATS Sayre PA and 102.1 WAVR Waverly NY from Todd Bowers for $200,000.
Sale Withdrawals
Todd Robinson’s WVJT Inc. has withdrawn its application to acquire AAA “101.5 The Valley’s Music Place” WVMP Vinton/Roanoke VA from Dr. William Amos’ Community Media Group LLC. WVJT had begun operating the station via Time Brokerage Agreement on August 1 and intended to pay $600,000 to acquire it.
