Former Entercom Sports 93.7 WEEI-FM Boston Program Director Kevin Graham is joining Cumulus News/Talk 570 KLIF and 820 WBAP Dallas for the same role.
Graham fills the position held by Tyler Cox. Cox rejoined WBAP as PD in 2006 (after previously programming the station from 1992-98) and added duties at KLIF in 2011. Cox will retire from the station with Graham’s arrival.
Graham most recently served as Brand Manager for WEEI and the Boston Red Sox Radio Network and Sports Radio Format Captain for Entercom until the expiration of his contract this summer. He has also programmed Cumulus Sports “1320 KFAN” KFNZ Salt Lake City, 620 KTAR Phoenix, 1270 WXYT Detroit, and 1050 WEPN New York in his career. All of his previous programming positions have been in Sports and not Political Talk.
Cumulus Media announces that it has named seasoned programming professional Kevin Graham as Program Director of News/Talk radio stations WBAP and KLIF in Dallas. Graham moves to Dallas from Boston, where he was Brand Manager for WEEI-FM/AM and Red Sox Radio Network and Sports Radio Format Captain for Entercom. Prior to that, Graham was Program Director and Afternoon Host for KFNZ-1320 KFAN, for Cumulus Media-Salt Lake City. He has held Program Director positions for stations including: KTAR/ArizonaSports.com in Phoenix; WXYT in Detroit; and WEPN-ESPN Radio, New York City. He replaces longtime Program Director Tyler Cox, who is retiring.
Dan Bennett, Regional Vice President, Cumulus Media-Dallas/Houston said: “Kevin Graham is one of the country’s brightest spoken word PD’s and is an innovative thinker who will take us into the next chapter of WBAP and KLIF’s on-air and digital growth. His major market experience in Boston and New York has prepared him for this next step in his career.”
Graham said: “I am very humbled and excited to join the Cumulus Dallas team. I have long admired Dan Bennett’s and OM Jeff Catlin’s work. I consider it a great honor to follow in Tyler Cox’s footsteps to assist in the continued growth of two of the most successful News/Talk brands in the country– WBAP/KLIF.
