Translator Sales
David Magnum is selling 92.3 W222AU Beloit WI to Scott Thompson’s Big Radio for $50,000 in order to settle petitions To deny and a lawsuit. The suits stemmed from an agreement entered between Big Radio and Sister Grace Inc. to acquire the CP for 95.7 W239CD Beloit prior to Sister Grace (which Magnum holds 49% interest in) filing to sell the translator CP to Magnum for $3000. As part of the settlement the petitions and lawsuits will be dropped and Thompson will not block Magnum’s CP to move 95.9 WBKY Portage WI to Stoughton where it will rimshot the Madison market. Following the sale, W222AU will rebroadcast News/Talk “The Big 1380” WBEL South Beloit IL.
