Original Report 12/23: All Pro Broadcasting is teasing a return of Modern Rock “X103.9” KCXX Lake Arrowhead/San Bernardino CA.

The station flipped to Rhythmic Hot ACHot 103.9” KHTI exactly one year ago after twenty years in the format. The station’s social media accounts returned to life this week teasing that “Something’s Coming”

A second post yesterday stated, “Everyone here at the office is working diligently to get “THE I.E.’s ALTERNATIVE ROCK” back for all our music loving friends. Trust us…”Something’s Coming”, but it takes some time and it will happen soon enough!”

We do not expect the 103.9 frequency, which has doubled its ratings share since launching the new format, to return to Alternative. Instead a likely scenario is the launch of an HD fed translator or some form of app based stream.

We know that you miss X1039, and that when it went away one year ago it left a huge void for alternative rock…

  1. I would expect sister station 101.3 which appears to be stunting as Fun 101.3 would be the likely destination. However, the signal is spotty in parts of the IE worse than the old 103.9.
