W297BP had debuted in November with Christmas music before spending the last two days looping Stairway To Heaven in preparation of the new format launch.
January 3, 2017 – Radio Consulting Services, LLC announces they have just launched Classic Rock format on WPKO HD2 and FM Translator W297BP Bellefontaine, OH. The station is now known as “Classic Rock The New 107.3 The Drive”.
WPKO is owned by V-Teck Communications, Inc. headed by President Lou Vito who said “The station was All-Christmas from November 1st through December 31st. At midnight on New Year’s Eve we stunted by playing covers of “Stairway To Heaven” interspersed with a ticking clock before switching to Classic Rock at 9am this morning.”
