Cumulus Media has announced new on-air lineups for three of its Kansas City stations.
Urban AC “Magic 107.3” KMJK North Kansas City has replaced the syndicated Tom Joyner morning show with Steve Harvey.
Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM Shawnee places Operations Manager Lance Tidwell in middays replacing Renee Drake, who remains morning co-host. Steve-O joins the station for afternoons from sister Variety Hits “102.5 Jack-FM” K273BZ/KCJK-HD2.
News/Talk 710 KCMO/103.7 K279BI rolls out a more locally based lineup. Greg Knapp returns to the station for mornings from 6-9am replacing Rob Carson. Tom Becka remains in the 9-11am slot, while the newly syndicated Chris Plante is added from 11am-1pm. Plante previously was heard in the 9-11am slot prior to Becka’s addition in May 2016. Dave Ramsey remains in the 1-4pm slot, while Mike Ferguson moves from 11am-1pm to 4-6pm where he will be joined by producer Jared Carter. Michael Savage is dropped with the changes.
Cumulus Media announces that its Kansas City radio stations KMJK-FM and KCMO-AM/FM will roll out enhancements to its weekday programming line-up today. Beginning Tuesday, January 3, 2017, KMJK-FM Magic 107.3 will air “The Steve Harvey Morning Show” from 6AM-10AM weekdays. On sister station KCMO-AM, longtime Kansas City talk personality Greg Knapp returns to host Mornings weekdays from 6AM-9AM, followed by “The Tom Becka Show” from 9AM-11AM. Westwood One nationally syndicated talk personality Chris Plante, makes his return to KCMO-AM from 11AM-1PM. Following Dave Ramsey from 1PM to 4PM, veteran KCMO Midday Host Mike Ferguson moves to Afternoon Drive airing 4PM to 6PM, joined by Co-Host and Producer Jared Carter. On Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM, Kansas City radio veteran Steve-O takes Afternoon Drive hosting duties, following Lance Tidwell who takes the mic as Host of Middays.
