iHeartMedia has made on-air lineup changes at three of its stations in Denver.
Starting at Classic Rock “103.5 The Fox” KRFX, Susie Wargin takes over the midday slot. Wargin had been co-hosting 10am-12pm on Sports “Denver Sports 760” KDSP. Gregg ‘Uncle Nasty’ Stone returns to the company to take afternoons at KRFX. Nasty had hosted afternoons at Rock 106.7 KBPI for 15 years until his layoff in 2012.
KRFX morning hosts Rick Lewis and Kathy Lee will pull double duty as they will join News/Talk 850 KOA/94.1 K231BQ for afternoons along with Denver Broncos play-by-play man Dave Logan. “Lewis & Logan” will air from 4-7pm. Logan had been co-hosting the 10am-12pm show with Susie Wargin on KDSP. He also had hosted afternoons on KOA until his move to KDSP in 2014.
KDSP will revamp much of its lineup. Replacing Logan and Wargin from in middays will be former Denver Bronco Ed McCaffrey and Andy Lindahl from 10am-1pm. Former KOA anchor Mike Rice will follow from 1pm-3pm, while Colin Cowherd’s syndicated talker moves from 12-3pm to 3-6pm.
iHeartMedia Denver announced today the debut of new air personalities and programming for KOA NewsRadio 850 AM & 94.1 FM, 103.5 The Fox and Denver Sports 760, effective January 3.
The Lewis & Logan afternoon show will broadcast on KOA NewsRadio 850 AM & 94.1 FM on weekdays from 4 -7 p.m. The program will feature personalities Rick Lewis and Dave Logan, who will discuss entertainment news and major sports stories, as well as reports on local news, traffic and weather. Lewis & Logan will be joined by Kathy Lee as co-host and Robbyn Hart as news anchor. The station’s programming will continue to simulcast on 94.1 FM. In addition, KOA NewsRadio 850 AM & 94.1 FM named Cory Lopez the new host of PrimeTime Sports, which will air on weeknights from 7-8 p.m. Dave Logan, the play-by-play voice of the Denver Broncos, celebrates his 20th year in his role for KOA NewsRadio, the flagship station of the Denver Broncos Radio Network.
Meanwhile, the company renewed and extended its agreement with Rick Lewis and Kathy Lee, on-air morning personalities for 103.5 The Fox, Denver’s Classic Rock station. Lewis and Lee have hosted the morning show for 25 years.
Additionally, 103.5 The Fox named Susie Wargin as its new midday personality. Wargin, a veteran Denver radio and TV personality, will broadcast on weekdays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
The station also named Uncle Nasty as its new afternoon personality. He is also a veteran Denver radio personality and will be heard weekdays 3-7 p.m.
Denver Sports 760, The Voice of Broncos Country, today debuted a new programming line-up, anchored by Ed McCaffrey and Andy Lindahl on weekdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
A new local show, hosted by Mike Rice, will air from 1-3 p.m. The Dan Patrick Show will continue to air from 7-10 a.m., and The Herd with Colin Cowherd will broadcast from 3-6 p.m., followed by J.T. The Brick at 6 p.m.
