Red Rock Radio continues the sell-off of its assets with the sale of Rock “94X” 104.3 KZIO Two Harbors MN and 94.1 K231BI Duluth MN to Minnesota Public Radio for $300,000.
Red Rock Radio has been selling off its radio properties over the past year including the divestiture of Classic Rock “KQ 95” 94.9 KQDS-FM Duluth to Midwest Communications. Following this sale it still retains Sports “92.1 The Fan” WWAX Hermantown and “NBC Sports Radio 1490” KQDS Duluth in addition to “Fox 21” KQDS-TV.
Minnesota Public Radio intends to convert the station to non-commercial status. It already operates its Public News/Talk network on 92.9 WSCD-FM Duluth, Classical on 100.5 WSCN Cloquet, and AAA “The Current” on 90.9 W215CG Duluth/WSCN-HD2.
