Station Sales Week Of 4/14
After bouncing around multiple stations and translators for a few years, 4-K’s LLLP Sports “Mile High Sports Radio” will gain some stability as it acquires 1340 KDCO Denver and translators 92.9 K225BS Longmont and 104.7 K284CI Denver CO from Vic Michael’s Kona Coast Radio for $464,000. 4-K’s previously has twice sold off the home of the station in the past three years forcing it to move to another frequency. It has operated off of 1340 KDCO since June 2015.
Township Media will purchase 1490 KTAE Austin TX from Genuine Austin Radio for $750,000. Township owns two translators and two CPs that will all carry the programming of Americana “Sun Radio” that originates on 103.1 KDRP-LP Dripping Springs.
Xana Oregon sells 102.9 KHKO Prairie City OR to Randolph & Debra McKone’s KJDY LLC. for $60,000. KHKO will join a cluster that currently includes Country 1400 KJDY John Day/94.5 KJDY-FM Canyon City OR.
Osiris Fernando Guzman will purchase 107.1 W296CL Reading PA from Northeastern Pennsylvania Educational Television Association for $75,000. The sale will lead to a flip of the station from a simulcast of Public News/Talk 89.9 WVIA-FM Scranton to Spanish Christian fed from Cumulus’ 100.7 WLEV-HD2 Allentown.
Calvary Radio Network sells 103.1 W276BM Park Forest IL to Polnet Communications for $135,000 to rebroadcast 1300 WRDZ La Grange/Chicago. A previous sale in December 2015 to Halo World Music LLC for $175,000 never closed.
Educational Media Foundation will sell 89.3 K207CN Santa Cruz, 91.3 K217EK Palo Colorado Canyon, and 95.3 K237EV Big Sur Valley CA to University Corporation at Monterey Bay for $5,000. The three translators will rebroadcast the buyer’s Public News/Talk 90.3 KAZU Pacific Grove/Monterey.
Sky High Broadcasting will swap the CP for 101.7 K269GF El Paso TX to One Ministries for the CP for 95.9 K240ER Truth or Consequences NM. K240ER is in the process of being moved into El Paso as part of last year’s AM Translator Waiver period to rebroadcast 1590 KELP El Paso.
