Max 92.9 To Return To WV Panhandle

Max 92.9 WDHC WXDC Berkeley Springs HancockAfter being sold to Metro Radio LLC and flipping to Spanish as a simulcast of “La Capital 730/92.9” WTNT Alexandria/W225CN Centreville VA in early March, the previous Classic Hits “Max 92.9” format will return to WXDC (formerly WDHC) Berkeley Springs WV on Monday, May 1.

The Martinsburg Journal-News reports that Metro Radio will lease the station to Diane Smith, owner of Buddy Lou’s restaurant and antique store in Hancock MD. New studios are being constructed for the station at that location. Former WDHC General Manager Stacy Drake is returning in the same position.

    Weird story… Guess they finally realized that it can’t be moved closer to DC.
