North American Broadcast Company Standards 920 WMNI Columbus OH has added its FM translator and flipped to Soft AC/Oldies “Easy 95.1 FM and AM 920“.
Billing their new format as “Vintage Adult Contemporary”, WMNI states it “will still highlight “Timeless Classics” from artists like, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole,” but place “a much greater emphasis will be placed on light rock and pop favorites from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, including artists like, Neil Diamond, Carole King, Billy Joel, James Taylor, The Beatles, Elton John and Chicago to name a few.”
95.1 W236CZ operates with 88w/145m from the WSNY tower just outside downtown Columbus. The station will continue to carry Columbus Clippers baseball and Notre Dame football along with its Saturday morning block of home improvement and gardening shows.
They are actually on a tower owned by WBNS-TV – but WSNY also leases space on that tower (along with a handful of other FMs)
Despite what anyone says, this sounds a whole lot like what is called “adult standards”.
