Tedd Webb will retire from his position as co-host of iHeartMedia News/Talk 970 WFLA Tampa/102.9 W275AZ Wesley Chapel South at the end of January 2018.
Webb has been with WFLA since 1983 and has co-hosted “AM Tampa Bay” with Jack Harris since 1994. Harris and producer Aaron Jacobson will continue to host the show upon Webb’s exit. Webb began his radio career in 1963 and has spent the majority of his career working in his hometown.
The Tampa Bay Times reports that Webb intends to keep co-hosting “The Opening Bell” on sister 1250 WHNZ if physically able. Webb was off the air for a few weeks in August after suffering a second heart attack.
