William and Susan Amos’ Community Media Group is selling AAA “101.5 The Mountain” WVMP Vinton/Roanoke VA to Todd Robinson’s Lynchburg Radio Group for $250,000. Robinson’s WVJT Inc. previously filed to purchase the station in August 2016 for $600,000 but that deal was later withdrawn. WVMP began simulcasting on 102.5 WBZS Shawsville in January.
Michael ‘Buzz Corona’ Hernandez’s Western Radio Ltd. purchases 690 KWRP/93.9 K230BZ Pueblo and 100.3 K262BB Boone CO from United States CP for $80,000. Hernandez had been programming the stations and 94.7 KFVR-FM Beulah as Classic Hip-Hop “The Buzz” for previous LMA operator SoCo Radio.
Three months after acquiring 102.3 KHKF Island City OR for $50,000, Xana Oregon sells it and 101.3 K267CE La Grande OR to Randolph and Debra McKone’s EMG2 LLC for $190,000.
The Estate of Donn Ansell transfers Gospel “Power 1220” WENC Whiteville NC to his brother Larry Ansell for no consideration. The station will continue to be operated by Godwin Communications via Time Brokerage Agreement as it has since September 1995.
Turquoise Broadcasting Company sells five Alaskan translators to Peninsula Communications for $40,000. All five currently rebroadcast Peninsula owned stations and will continue to do so. 99.3 K257ER Kenai and 100.9 K265EX Soldotna rebroadcast Country 101.7 KPEN-FM Soldotna, 102.5 K273CM Soldotna and 106.1 K291BH Kenai rebroadcast Oldies 93.3 KXBA Niksiki, and 100.1 K261DV Homer carries Standards 620 KGTL Homer.
