104.3 The Fan Denver Expands Local Programming Lineup
Bonneville Sports “104.3 The Fan” KKFN Longmont/Denver is expanding its weekday local programming output.
The changes will include 10am-12pm host Sandy Clough moving to nights from 9-11pm. With Clough’s move to nights, Mike Pritchard and Cecil Lammey’s 9-10am show will expand to three hours from 9am-12pm. The rest of the station’s lineup including Mark Schlereth and Mike Evans from 6-9am, Brandon Stokley and Zach Bye from 12-3pm, and Alfred Williams and Darren McKee from 3-6pm (and “reloaded” from 6-9pm) will remain as is.
Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan announces today the extension of its local lineup by two additional hours.
“Broncos Country and the Denver sports community has shown us there’s a clear demand from 104.3 The Fan for more local sports talk,” said program director Armen Williams. “We’re excited to give our audience even more of an opportunity to feed their passion on a daily basis. It’s something they both yearn for and deserve.”
Long-time Denver sports personality Sandy Clough, one of the most recognizable voices in the region for the past four decades, will host weeknights from 9 to 11 p.m., beginning Tuesday, Jan. 16.
“Sandy Clough is an institution in the Denver sports radio market,” Williams said. “In the evening, Denver sports fans are looking for an outlet, and having Sandy on from 9 to 11 p.m. will allow him to not only give perspective on Broncos headlines but also provide postgame reaction to the Rockies, Nuggets, Avalanche, and other Denver sports events.”
Mike Pritchard and Cecil Lammey’s show, Pritchard and Cecil, will be extended by two hours, now live weekdays from 9 a.m. to noon, effective immediately.
“Pritchard and Cecil have earned this opportunity. Having the two of them on the air for three hours daily takes our station to another level. Mike and Cecil have a work ethic and passion for the game of football that can be felt through the radio.”
Pritchard is a former first round draft pick and nine-year wide receiver in the NFL, playing for three teams, including the Denver Broncos. He was most valuable player of the University of Colorado’s 1990 national championship team. Lammey has amassed nearly 15 years of radio experience in the Denver market serving a variety of roles, including sports talk host, fantasy football expert, and Broncos insider.
With 17 hours of daily, live and local content featuring four former Denver Broncos players — who own seven Super Bowl rings between them — Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan is positioned better than ever to continue its more than 20-year legacy as Denver’s Sports Station.
